Who We Are

We are an active-duty service member and a former private security contractor turned NGO volunteer (Yes, we are small)! However, our supporting community is filled with many service members, volunteers, families who hold down the fort back home, and people who spend their downtime wrenching on vintage bikes, chasing the perfect swell, or chilling at a hangar.

Our community is made up of people who exist in the space between two worlds. They know what it’s like to operate in high-stakes environments where things aren’t always clean or simple, all the while enjoying the feeling of a perfect gear shift, the calm of an open road, or the reset that comes from being outdoors. At Waves 'N Windsocks we don’t see these as separate lives. To us, they’re the same thing.

Why We Do This

We’re here for the people who carry the weight. For our core community, we are a reminder that you are not alone in the things you’ve seen or done. We understand the specific language of service, the importance of history, and the way that shared experience creates a bond that doesn’t need explanation. We honor the past not by standing on a pedestal, but by living fully in the present.

We’re here for the people on the fringe. If you’re an enthusiast who appreciates the history and heritage behind the gear, but you’ve never worn a uniform, you belong here too. You don’t need to have deployed to understand the value of capability, the satisfaction of a well-maintained machine, or the importance of community. We built this for anyone who respects the craft and the culture, regardless of their background.

How We Show Up

We believe in being incredibly good at what we do, without taking ourselves too seriously.

We’ve learned that the best way to handle the heavy parts of life is with a steady hand and a dry sense of humor. Our humor is often dark, but it’s never cruel. It’s the kind of wit that builds trust in tough moments and helps us process the absurdity of the world. If you’re the type of person who can fix a crisis and an engine with the same level of focus, but still knows how to laugh at yourself when things go sideways (as they inevitably do), we’re already friends.
